News From The World of OSHO
The Lessons Osho Taught Me About Love, Life and Relationships
Posted by : Osho World Foundation - Saturday, January 20, 2018
We go to a doctor only when we feel physically unwell or unfit. We seek a guru only when we feel mentally and emotionally unwell. That’s what happened with me about 10 years ago. There were problems, issues, from so many ends in my life that I literally didn’t know how to my hold myself. ‘Zindagi Live’ had started and I was hearing stories of pain and trauma on every shoot, and it was making it worse for me. Never in my life had I heard such tragic stories so closely. I was touching people’s lives, but my own life was slipping out of my control.

That’s when it happened like a miracle. Someone gifted me a book, The Book of Understanding: Creating Your Own Path to Freedom by Osho.

A Living Legend

“And I’ve loved your music since those days 30 years ago,” I said. “Do you remember Laxmi?”
“Oh yes, of course,” he replied his eyes brightening up. “Whatever happened to her?”
“She died of cancer in ’95, and this is the book of her extraordinary life,” I said, handing him a copy of The Only Life. I opened it to the dedication page and pointed to a drawing. “A man with a flute,” I said, and he laughed. “I hope you will play through till dawn.”
“Oh no, they all have to work tomorrow.” He loosely gestured towards the auditorium.
“Yes, but we don’t. You and I are pensioners!” I said and he laughed again and took my hand.

This Earth has to be loved

The new man will not be a tale told by an idiot, but will be a poem sung out of wholeness, will be a dance of immense joy for Gods gift of life and being, for the flowers and the trees and the birds, and the sun and the sand and the sea.

The new man will not look somewhere faraway for God, he will look here, close-by. Now will be his only time, here will be his only space.

Beloved Osho, Do you ever surprise yourself? and if you do, who is surprising whom?
Posted by : Osho World Foundation - Thursday, January 04, 2018
There is no one to surprise or to be surprised.

I am as absent as I will be when I will be dead, with only one difference... that right now my absence has a body, and then, my absence will not have a body.

SUSHMITA SEN

(Actor)

It takes courage to be oneselfnow more than ever there's a need to live with awareness and
independence; with love and compassion. Osho's work is to bring awareness to all aspects of life. He
has evolved new meditations for modern humanity. He values the heart and the head, the mundane and
the mysterious, the sinners and the saints, male and female equally. Laxmi was an ordinary woman who
led an extraordinary life. She is you and me. Like so many of us she wanted to make the world a kinder
place but it was not until she met Osho that she could fulfil that intention. However, she had to pass
through the fire of a master's transmission to become pure gold. That transmission flows through this
book. I congratulate Rashid for this beautiful book. The readers will find inspiration to live life with
awareness and celebration.

THE LUMINOUS REBEL

Vasant Joshi (Author)

A rebel, an iconoclast, an enlightened mystic and an intellectual giant, Osho (also known as Acharya Rajneesh and Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) is all this and more. He brought about a spiritual revolution in the lives of those who cared to grow intellectually. He spoke fearlessly against orthodox religions, priests, politicians, age-old traditions and anything he thought was a hindrance to the anything he thought was a hindrance to the path of self-realisation. This made him the most talked about and controversial mystic of the twentieth century.
Osho, The Luminous Rebel traces the story of Osho from his birth, talking about his spiritual search for truth and the wondrous story of his enlightenment. The book also takes the reader from the early years of Osho’s struggle with authority figures, to the much hyped city of Rajneeshpuram in the US and his incarceration in various jails across the US, where he believes he was poisoned by the US government. He was later denied visas in twenty-one countries across the world—events, he reveals, that exposed the true face of ‘democracy’.
Osho, The luminous Rebel is for all Osho lovers and admirers, for the uninitiated and the spiritually inclined, and for those who are just curious to know more.
