Osho World: Osho World Past Events and Happenings

“App Deepo Bhava”, a celebration of meditation and creativity, was inaugurated at Osho World galleria, BG 09, Ansal Plaza, Khelgaon Marg, New Delhi, at 6.00 p m on Friday, 10th October 2003 by Ms. Rashmi Agarwal, an imaginative and creative classical singer. Ms. Agarwal also enthralled the gathering with devotional songs.

The celebration of “App Deepo Bhava” manifests in the form of creativity at the galleria. Osho World celebrates creativity as an expression of meditation, with its various ranges developed in versatile materials and their combinations. Osho has often talked about creativity as a form of meditation. "... all creativity that has happened in the world has come through meditation knowingly or unknowingly; all the poetry, all the music, all the dance is possible only if something deep inside you starts bursting forth into celebration”

It is to promote this idea that the Mevlana range was introduced at the Osho World Galleria about 8 months back and its collection of silver products on the 1st of October, 2003.

The Mevlana silver collection is the expression of an inspiration from App Deepo Bhav – “Be a light unto yourself. Be a lamp unto yourself' Don't search for light anywhere else; the light is already there, the fire is already there. Just probe a little deeper into your being, enquire. Maybe much ash has gathered around the fire... just probe deep inside, and you will find the spark again.."

The range celebrates the beauty of the Lotus flower. Osho speaks of taking inspiration from the Lotus. This range is based on the fusion of silver and Copper - two materials so different from each other in look, feel and properties, yet complimenting each other so well, creating a distinctive harmony. Likewise is the combination of marble and Silver - one distinct in its hardness and the other in its softness, but both being cool, pure and reflecting serenity.

The Bamboo range was also introduced at the same time. The Bamboo form is being explored in its raw natural beauty in Copper, a metal that is believed to have healing effect.

The creative expressions of meditation includes candles, candle stands, holders, lamps etc. and the exhibition is on till the end of October.
