Rip-roarious Climax to Laughter Week
New Delhi, 8 January 2003: A With a rip-roarious Climax, the Laughter at Osho World Galleria, in New Delhi's Ansal Plaza came to a hilarious conclusion yesterday. Leading Hindi humourous poet Rakesh Soni who has shot to national prominence held laughing Osholovers in splits.

Rakesh Soni put into hilarious practice Osho's mantra - Live, Love, Laugh - and regaled the laughing meditators with the escapades of various professionals on their first night of matrimony. He wittily described how a lawyer, a doctor, a police officer bring their professional approach in starting their married life and end next morning with devastating results.

A Mechanical Engineer by profession, Rakesh Soni has participated in hundreds of poetical symposia at the national level and is considered today as one of the ace humurous poets of Hindi.

Swami Ravindra conducted Osho's laughing meditation with spontaneous laughter for 15 minutes followed by deep meditation by long time Osho disciple Chaitanya Keerti who led the participants into complete silence to absorb all the energy deep within oneself. This pin drop silence was followed by celebration music with which everyone swayed to express joy.

Laughter meditation will re-surface at Osho World Galleria on 1 April 2003 when a Mulla Nassurdin Week will be celebrated instead of April fool's Day.

In his famous book "Meditation: The Art of Ecstasy " Osho says: "We are so attached to our suffering that laughing happens, generally, only as a release of tension. Only rarely, very rarely, does laughing happen without cause. We cannot laugh, we cannot be happy; even in our laughing there is pain. But laughing is so beautiful, such a deep cleansing, a deep purification."

Everyone experienced this high energy generated by laughter, the total silence and the deep purification.
