As a part of the 19th Commonwealth games, held at New Delhi from October 3rd to 14th, a series of music concerts were organized in various tourist attractions of the city such as Dilli Haat, Qutub Minar, Connaught Place etc. The Green Concerts were held as part of the ‘Low Carbon Campaign’, organised in association with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF).
Chinmaya Dunster, Ma Anand Richa, Sandeep Srivastava, SangitOm, Prabodh Prem, Shambhu, Lalit, Mohit, Dharma Samarpan performed on October 04 and 05 at Dilli Haat, Pitampura, Delhi. The concert created a great atmosphere and was very well acknowledged and applauded by not only Osho friends but also by the public present at the venue.
Chinmaya Dunster has been involved in awareness-raising projects since the filming of his first multi-media event ‘Concert for India’s Environment’ in 2004. This year, in February, his aim was to promote caring for our beautiful planet with the ‘Green Ragas‘ event at the British Council in New Delhi with singer Sandeep Srivastav and musicians from India, Greece and UK.
For those who have never visited Dilli Haat, it is an Indian crafts and food bazaar and a great shopping experience for those who love Indian ethnic products.
