Who is Osho?

A powerful magnetic field attracting people from all over the globe. After the initial contact, they rush to him, ping all chains, all commitments, and all relationships. After reading him, watching him live and tasting his meditations, they begin to feel his presence, his compassion, and his love.

When he talks about the Buddha, they slide deep into the silence and the meditation of the enlightened one. When he talks on Jesus, they can feel peace and the joy when the son of Virgin Mary walked this earth. When he talks about the Zen masters, they hear the sound of one hand clapping of the Japanese masters.

But when he speaks on Krishna, they get entranced with him just like the milkmaids who left their homes, their babies and husbands on hearing the divine flute. When he talks about Meera, they feel the total surrender, the unconditional .love and the spontaneous dance of the princess. When he talks about the Sufis, they feel the intoxication, the music and the whirling of the romantic masters.

So who is Osho? How does he connect with so many spiritual masters who walk on opposite paths? How can he be so contradictory? Why is he such a mystery that one can only experience?

The Master of Masters

If you are linked to the Buddha, he directs you on the way of the mind or logic. But if you are more in tune with Krishna or The Sufis, then he shows you the way of the heart or love. It all depends on what you reflect on a blank mirror that is Osho. Like a blank mirror, Osho is just emptiness.

You have to go beyond the contradictions that you find in Osho’s discourses. When Osho talks about any spiritual master or any spiritual path, his establishes a direct link and is one with that master or path. And when he fine tunes to another master or path that is opposite, hence the contradiction. Since these are opposite ways and Osho is describing them in their deepest and minutest details, he seems to be contradicting himself. He talks on many masters and becomes one with all of them.

After talking on all these masters, Osho gives us his combination of Zorba the Buddha that combines the opposites of silence celebration, scene with spirituality, meditation with dancing.

Finally, Osho has given us different meditations to get rid of the deeply buried garbage in our minds and relish the silence.

So, who is Osho?

The Master of Masters.
