Power is such an aphrodisiac that at some stage of our lives we are attracted to it. Power appeals. An article in ‘Marie Claire’ mentions that power appeals because it brings in the bucks, powerful people are sought after and it’s a challenge. Power is intoxicating. It gives an illusion... |

Shantam Divyama, there is the famous statement of an English philosopher: "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."
I do not agree with him. My analysis is totally different. Everybody is full of violence, greed, anger, passion -- but has no power; so he remains a saint... |

People are so unconscious that they can do anything to keep their power, their respectability -- even if it means blowing up the whole world. They can risk anything to save their ego. And these are the people who naturally reach to the positions of power, because they are the only seekers of power. No creative, intelligent person seeks power. No intelligent person is interested in dominating others. His first interest is to know himself. So the people with the highest quality of intelligence go towards mysticism, and the most mediocre go after power...

Bali for the second time in as many years hosted the International Bali Meditator’s Festival from November 12-14, 2010. The event was inspired by Anand Krishna, one the very few Osho sannyasins in Indonesia, who has popularized meditation as a way of life, free of all denomination. The theme was ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Living in Peace, Love and Harmony through Meditation’. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam means ‘This World Is One Single Family’. Panel sessions and workshops on meditation and yoga were run throughout the two days, a bazaar and community events were colorful additions... |

A LEGEND CALLED DEEKSHA
At the end of the darshan in which Osho initiated me into sannyas, he asked me if I wanted to do some therapy group; an offer that I gently declined, telling him that I wanted to start working in the commune, that I was here to serve him, that I was not a parasitic type, and that all these therapies had already broken my balls!
Osho started laughing at the expression, ‘breaking my balls’, and told me that he understood me perfectly, and if I wanted... |

What is the relevance of Tantra in the modern hectic society?
There are some wonderful meditations in the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra which address this subject. It is fascinating to consider this, since it is a scripture which is approximately 5000 years old. What this means is, that the tendency to be in stress and live a hectic... |

From Meher Baba to Osho with Love
As the rickshaw pulled to a stop, I looked up and read the sign at the top of the gate – Shree Rajneesh Ashram. Quite a large fellow with a German accent (Haridas) greeted me and I heard myself say, “I’m not where I was going, but I’m sure I am in the right place.” At the Poona train station I had told the rickshaw driver, “Sai Baba Ashram, not Rajneesh Ashram.” He responded, “Yes, yes, baba.” Mistakenly I had been told that... |

‘Japnit’ in Gurumukhi means to remember the name of the lord at all times. The ten-year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Gurvinder Singh lived up to her name at the opening of the Nanak Week at Osho Galleria in New Delhi last month. Very confidently and with a shy smile, she sang two ‘shabads’ on this occasion that marked the birthday of Guru Nanak Devji. She has been learning classical music and this was her maiden performance that was well appreciated by Osholovers gathered at this venue... |

The visit to America, September 17-November 16, was wonderful and very rewarding. We held a fabulous meditation camp near New York in the state of Pennsylvania --a beautiful resort place not too far from the city of New York.
The following Atlanta meditation camp was full of love and laughter...meditation and celebration. Besides Atlanta, participants came all the way from Tampa, and Jacksonville, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and Huntsville, Alabama... |
