"Son, I just know that you will do the right thing by this little girl," said the preacher. "You just marry her and you will be at the end of your troubles." So he did the right thing and he married the girl. And about six months later, when he saw the preacher again, he tried to murder him. "You miserable liar!" shouted the young man. "You told me if I married her I would be at the end of my troubles. Well, I married her and she has made my life miserable!"
"That may be true, son, but you can't blame me," replied the minister. "I said you would be at the end of your troubles, but I never said which end."

Disciple Week at Osho World Galleria Osho Meditation Event | Osho is a Universe

Disciple Week at Osho World Galleria

Well known Tarot reader and Osho disciple Ma Prem Usha inaugurated the Disciple Week on Sunday, 10 February at Osho World Galleria, Ansal Plaza in New Delhi. A series of Osho discourses on Daya Bai - Jagat Taraiya Bhor Ki - was the highlight of Disciple Week.

On Ma Laxmi's birthday - 12 February - her book 'Story of a Disciple' was also launched on the web. An offering of love and gratitude of a dedicated disciple towards her Beloved Master, 'Story of a Disciple' is an autobiographical account of Ma Yoga Laxmi - one of the first disciples of Osho and his secretary for a long time. This book is exclusively available on Oshoworld.com. Later a print edition will also be published. Some well-known disciples of Osho - like the famous Rock star Upanishad from Okinawa, Japan, and Ma Yoga Neelam, Secretary of Osho in India visited the Galleria during the Disciple Week.

Osho's book 'The Last Morning Star' was another attraction of the Disciple Week. The book symbolizes all that is ephemeral in the world. Talking of the playful and provocative poetry of Daya, Osho takes us on a journey from the transient, from our world outside, to the eternal, our boundless world within. This is a journey of the - the joyous, spontaneous, and at times uncompromising way of an enlightened woman mystic.

In the book, 'Books I have Loved' Osho describes Daya as a "contemporary of Meera and Sahajo" but "far more profound than either of them." He says: "Daya is a little cuckoo. On an India summer night.the distant call of the cuckoo, that's what Daya is.a distant call in the hot summer of this world."

In his book, The Dhammapada: The Way of the Buddha, Osho says, "The master/disciple relationship is a love affair, the greatest love affair possible. The disciple surrenders his ego to the master. He bows down. He says: BUDDHAM SHARANAM GACHCHHAMI -- I bow down to the buddha, I surrender to the buddha, I take shelter at your feet. The moment he drops his ego he becomes part of the being of the master."

Disciple Week Celebrations continued at Osho World Galleria till 17 February, Sunday.
